PREVIEW: Male Frame | Female Frame

The SCOTT Sportster P3 hybrid bike is featured on all of the Discover France/Pure Adventures tours. They are brand new in 2008. Of note: the P3 is a superior quality all terrain bike that we call a hybrid. It is meant for the road or dirt surfaces that are relatively wide and free of obects. It is a lean 12.75 kg without extras, pretty good for an ATB or as they say in French: VTC. See The Scott website for more info.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Where can I pickup the bike?
Answer: any hotel you book in France or at our office in Lunel. We ship up to 5 days in advance of your pickup date to ensure a timely arrival. . You must make all arrangements with the hotel you book and get their agreement to receive the bike box, hold the box until your arrival, and any other related matters. There are no refunds on our part if a hotel refuses to accept a bike delivery. Any additional charges for 2nd attempted delivery are the responsibility of the renter and will be added to your invoice.

2. How do I return the bike?
Answer: You must keep the shipping box that it came in and break it down for return shipment in exactly the same way it arrived. We will include return delivery lables. If poor packing leads to bike damage, the renter is responsible. The box must be ready for pickup on the morning of the end date of your reservation.

3. Can I change out parts: stems, cranks, powertap, etc?
Answer: No. Parts cannot be changed in the shop before shipping and we do not want customers taking our bikes apart. If you disassemble any bike to change a part or add a power tap or make any other modification without our express written or verbal agreement you assume full responsibility and make yourself liable for additional charges if the bike is returned in a condition that requires any additional maintenance.

4. Can I rent a helmet?
Answer: No. Only for pickup and drop in Lunel.

5. Can I rent a car mounted bike carrier?
Answer: No. We do not carry anything that can be mounted on a car rental, and which would void your car rental contract.

6. Can I mount panniers on the bikes?
Answer: Only on the hybrid Scott P3. The carbon bikes take no bags except a saddle or handlebar bag.

7. Can I rent a trailer?
Answer: No, we have a few trailers and they are exclusively for our tour clients.

8. Do I need to bring tools?
Answer: only a pedal wrench. We provide basic tools for flat tire repair. You may wish to bring a chain tool and spare link if you are capable of fixing a broken chain, but it is not required. No other tools are needed.

9. Can I get a smaller/bigger bike?
Answer: No, unfortunately we are limited to the sizes of the frames shown above only. There is nothing more we can provide. Shorter or taller people should bring their own bikes from home in these cases.

10. Can I get maps and route itineraries?
Answer: No, unfortunately, but we reserve this service for our tour clients. This is a specialized knowledge we have from years of experience and lives spent on these roads. We offer this knowledge in our tour packages only.
